As a Reseller, we will establish a merchant account for you to use to process enrollment payments for when you sign up new clients. You will then keep 100% of the sign up costs charged for you clients. ENROLLMENT TARGETS


100 Accounts

  • We are seeking marketing partners who have the goal of enrolling at least 100 accounts over the next 12 months

  • 100 accounts would earn you about $10,000 in enrollment income, plus future residuals on those clients' merchant processing

  • If those 100 accounts are processing $1M a month in total combined processing then you would be earning $2,500 a month in merchant processing residuals. 

  • If you can't enroll at least 3-4 clients per month, or can't enroll at least 100 clients over the next year, then this is not a good opportunity for you.

BACKGROUND CHECK


IMPORTANT: Passing a background check is required for all new Resellers. While we will not disqualify you for misdemeanors or traffic infractions, we cannot accept you into the program if you have previously been convicted of financial crimes or serious felonies that included jail time.

01.

Enroll in the Reseller program

Start by enrolling as a Reseller. If you are already a client then you already have a merchant account to process payments.  You can start selling as soon as you learn where to send the deals. We've had Resellers turn in their first deal on their first day. We also had one Reseller enroll over 500 clients in one month working alone. That's over $50,000 in enrollment fees collected, and a great long-term opportunity for merchant processing residuals. If you have clients then start today.

02.

Access the Reseller online portal

Inside your Resellers portal you'll find everything you need to market and sell. Plus we'll provide a branded marketing short-link that leads to a dedicated enrollment packet enabling you to collect payment from your new clients.

Sign up clients & get paid

To sign up new clients you collect the signed agreement and basic supporting documents (ID, Articles, Voided Check). Once you process the setup payment on your own merchant account you turn in the account for fulfillment. At that point you've already been paid and are done. Submit 100 clients and earn nearly $10,000 in signup fees. And after your first 10 accounts you can start earning residual income on all their merchant processing.

Commissions


For new clients obtaining a Merchant Line

New client pays $99.97 enrollment fee and you keep all of it.

After you have enrolled 10 merchant accounts

Earn up to 25 basis points on all the merchant processing for any client you enroll with us. 25 basis points is equal to a quarter of one percent of all the money they process through their merchant account. See detailed description below.

 

If all your clients combined processed a total of $1 million in one month, 25 basis points would be $2,500 in residual income.

 

Because it is mandatory for all clients to use a merchant account from 1st Merchants, we can pay residual income on all merchant processing done through the clients you send to 1st Merchants.

Qualifying for Residuals: How to qualify for merchant processing residual payments

New Account Qualifier:

 

When you have successfully enrolled at least 10 accounts with 1st merchants you qualify to begin receiving merchant processing residuals. At that point all merchant accounts obtained from your clients will be included in your payouts. If it took 3 months to qualify, you will not get back-paid residuals from months 1 and 2, but you will immediately being to receive all future residual payouts going forward, for as long as you maintain an active account with us.

 

Active Account:

 

A Reseller is considered to have an active account by two criteria, by continuing ethical business standards and keeping a current merchant account in good standing.

 

A reseller who is honest with accounts and does not abuse their merchant account or default on their line of credit is considered to be maintaining ethical business standards. If a reseller has his account terminated for a high number of complaints or chargebacks he/she risks losing future merchant account residual payments.

Merchant Processing: Understanding basis points

Basis Points:

  • Basis points (BPS) refers to a common unit of measure for interest rates and other percentages in finance. One basis point is equal to 1/100th of 1%, or 0.01%, or 0.0001.
  • After you hit your new account qualifier, when any of your accounts obtain a merchant account through 1st Merchants you will earn up to 25 basis points on the monthly transactions processed through that account.
  • $1 Million processed through all of your combined merchant accounts creates a residual payout of $2,500 to you. These payments will continue indefinitely for as long as the clients continue to process through their account and you are in good standing with us.

Refunds: You may have to provide refunds to accounts that don't complete setup

Refunds:

 

When a new client pays the $99.97 setup fee, they may request a refund. While our terms clearly state the client has no rights to receive a refund, in some circumstances it is better to give a refund then try to fight a chargeback. Please be prepared to issue refunds when necessary.

 

If a client demands a refund you are not obligated to give that refund to them, but be aware that WE cannot give it to them since all of the money went to you.

 

If more than 5% of your clients request refunds then you need to reevaluate your sales practices.

Credit Criteria: Submitting good clients and resellers

Credit Criteria:

 

When a new account is enrolled with 1st Merchants (both clients and resellers), the minimum line of credit they'll receive is based on the personal credit of the business owner. Specifically it is based on the FICO8 Score as reported by Experian. View the chart below to set the proper expectations for your accounts. The #1 reason for a complaint is that a client expected to get a larger credit line than they ultimately received, so please be careful and give accurate estimates to your clients.

IMPORTANT:

 

An account’s credit line can be increased significantly after the account is opened by reviewing monthly processing revenues and sometimes business bank statements. Your, and your clients, line can be increased to as much as $100,000 based on your business revenues.
